Pentecost Sunday Prayer Service - 9 Jun 2019

Ps Dhamo and the Tamil congregation gathered together to celebrate and pray for each other during Pentecost Sunday.

The Christian holy day of Pentecost is celebrated fifty days after Easter Sunday, in remembrance of the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ while they were in Jerusalem celebrating Pentecost (Acts 2:1–31). During this celebration of Pentecost in Jerusalem, the disciples of Jesus were gathered together in one place when suddenly there was a mighty rushing wind (wind is a common symbol for the Holy Spirit) and tongues of fire appeared that rested on each of them. The gathered disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
