As Youth become Young Adults in the blink of an eye, guiding and educating them to walk in God’s way becomes even more necessary during this period when they are more vulnerable and easily impressed by external influences.
Understanding the importance of this Ministry, our Youth Director, Pasang, takes a hands-on approach to guiding and imparting essential life skills to the Youth through their many activities. This includes learning to present Children’s Sermon during Worship, interning in various roles in Church, and organizing events. You can read about their activities in 2018 in the column at the right.
For 2019, our Youth leaders (Roshen, Eunice, Theophilus, Jacob) and Pasang desire to walk closely with God so that they will be Christ’s fragrance in their speech (conduct) and deeds. This is in line with our church’s theme of “Spreading the Aroma of Jesus Christ” for 2019. Their plans will encompass:
- reading the Bible, actively engaging in the Word of God through Q&A; seek deeper meaning and purpose of life through the Scriptures.
- engaging the youth in individual mentoring
- bringing the awareness of social and political issues in society
- engaging the youth in meaningful projects like serving the old folks, the poor, and showing hospitality to the migrant workers in Singapore
- organizing outdoor and indoor activities (such as beach camping, BBQ, bowling, trampoline, prayer, karaoke sessions, retreats) to harness deeper bonding among one another.

The Year 2018 In Review
♥ Confirmation Class
The students are taught a total of 40 lessons on the chief doctrines of Christian faith. Taken from Luther’s Small Catechism, the subjects include The Ten Commandments, The Apostles Creed, The Lord’s Prayer, The Sacraments, and The Office of the Keys. Upon the completion of the Class, the youths will be confirmed of their Baptismal Faith in a ceremony on 6th Jan 2019. This year, we rejoice that we have 10 confirmands – six from the First Service and four from the Second. We thank God for these young people whom God has bestowed His grace and saved and made His precious children. We continue to pray that God will sustain their faith and grant them favour to walk closely believing in His Word.
